Watch Out For False Prophets... Matthew 7:15

The Lord said...

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Matthew 7:15

A false prophet will pretend to be good on the outside, he will come to you as if he has good intentions, but inwardly he is deceitful, manipulative and wants to lead you away from the path of righteousness.

In order to identify false prophets, we must look at the results they produce in the world. If somebody preaches about love and kindness, but they steal, kill and destroy - we know they are not to be trusted.

Do people learn the wisdom of God from sinners? Do people expect to receive good guidance from a wicked person?

The Lord also said...

Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Matthew 7:17

A good person will produce love and harmony. A bad person will produce malice and immorality. A good person does not create hostility or corruption, and a bad person does not create forgiveness and peace.

Every person who does not influence others in a good way through loving words and actions will be rejected by God - they will be thrown away from Gods promise of eternal life and they will go into damnation.

To identify a false prophet, recognize what types of words they say and how it relates to the actions they do. If they encourage hatred, corruption and destruction - regardless of what they say or who they proclaim to be, do not believe them because their actions and results tell you exactly who they are.

Remain in Jesus and follow his example because he is perfect in righteousness, he will reveal how to speak good words, practice good actions and create kindness and wisdom.

God bless you in Lord Jesus's name.
